Three accessories keep a battery shade system working without attention: the 5V solar panel that charges the motor in place, the chargers for the annual top-up, and the ARC repeater that pushes the remote’s range through a big house.

What this means for your home
A south or west window with a solar panel never needs the charging cable. The panel sits behind the shade on the glass or frame and feeds the motor through its USB port.
North windows and shaded windows charge from the cable about once a year; the Pulse PRO app shows the battery level so you charge before it stops.
If a remote drops out on the far side of the house, one ARC repeater plugged into an outlet between them fixes it.

Charging and range, answered
Will a solar panel keep the shade charged all year?
In a window with direct sun for part of the day, yes for a normal cycle of one or two moves a day. Rollease rates the panel at 3 W in full sun; in a shaded window it slows the drain rather than removing it.
Can one panel charge two shades?
Yes, with the Solar Panel Y cable. Rolli specifies one panel per motor for wide blackout shades.
How long does a charge take?
With the 5 V / 2 A charger, a Zero Li-ion’s 2,600 mAh battery charges in a few hours; Rollease does not publish an exact time. Charge with the shade installed.
How many repeaters can I add?
Up to two per ARC network, each extending range by about 131 ft.
