Automate CL cord-lift. Motorized Roman and cellular shades.

Roman, cellular and woven wood shades lift on cords, not a tube, so they use Rollease Acmeda’s CL motors: a 12 V DC drive in the headrail, powered by a battery pack, an AA tube or a wire. Rolli fits the CL 0.6 and CL 0.8 to its Roman ranges.

Rollease Acmeda does not publish a lift capacity per CL motor. Rolli sizes by shade weight from the fabric, lining and width, and confirms with Rollease for oversize Romans.

What this means for your home

A motorized Roman looks exactly like a cordless one; the motor sits inside the headrail and the battery pack tucks behind it.

No cords at all, which matters in a nursery or anywhere with children.

Same Rolli Remote and Pulse PRO hub as roller shades, so a bedroom with a Roman and a roller runs from one button.

Questions

Cord-lift motors, answered

Why is a Roman motor louder than a roller motor?

The CL motor drives a cord spool through a gearbox at higher speed, so vendor figures run 48 to 60 dB against about 35 to 46 dB for a Zero Li-ion. It runs for a few seconds per cycle.

Where does the battery go?

In a pack clipped behind the headrail, or an AA tube for small shades. Hardwired 12 V DC is available for new construction.

Can a woven wood shade be motorized?

Yes, on the same CL motor and headrail. Rolli confirms the weight limit per shade since woven wood is heavier than fabric.

Does it do top-down bottom-up?

Not on the CL. Top-down bottom-up motorization uses the Automate center-mount TDBU dual motor; ask during the consultation.
