Kleenscreen 1%. Glare control that keeps the view.
Kleenscreen 1% is a Texstyle solar screen with a 1% openness factor, the tightest of the three Kleenscreen weaves. Its Sanitized® finish inhibits microbes, dust mites and odor, and the PVC face wipes clean. Rolli fabricates it into custom roller shades.

Rolli carries Kleenscreen in Pure White and the darker neutrals; samples are free.
What this means for your home
A 1% weave is the tightest Kleenscreen makes: choose it for west and south windows where glare on screens and heat gain are the problem and you still want to see out.
Color changes the result as much as openness. Pure White passes 16% of visible light and bounces heat back out; Graphite, Raven and Black pass 1–1% and give the clearest view with the least glare.
It is not a privacy fabric after dark. For night privacy Rolli pairs it with a blackout shade on a dual bracket.

Texstyle cut sheet, 1% openness. Rs solar reflectance, As solar absorptance, Ts solar transmittance, Rv visible reflectance, Tv visible transmittance (all %), SHGC of fabric plus standard glass (%). Lower Tv means less glare; higher Rs means less heat absorbed into the room.

Solar screen, answered
How much light does Kleenscreen 1% block?
Between 84% and 99% of visible light depending on color: Pure White transmits 16%, Black 1%. The 1% figure is the share of the weave that is open air, not the share of light that passes. See openness factor.
Can I see out?
In daylight, yes, and dark colors see out best. Light colors soften the view and glow in direct sun but reflect the most heat.
Does it give privacy at night?
No. With lights on inside, any open weave shows silhouettes. Use a dual roller with a blackout layer.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or kitchen?
Yes. The PVC face wipes clean and the Sanitized® finish inhibits microbial growth, tested to ASTM G21 and ASTM E2180.
How wide can one shade be?
Roll width is 118 in, so a single shade to about 118 in before seams. Rolli confirms the limit for your motor and tube at the consultation.
Kleenscreen 1% or 3%?
1% blocks more glare and holds more daytime privacy; 3% gives a clearer view. Order both samples and hold them to the window at 3 pm.
